How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Fulfil your orders: process payments, create engraved or custom items, arrange shipping, and handle returns, exchanges and store credit
  • Manage your account: create and maintain your account and send account and order notifications
  • Support you: respond to questions, requests and complaints

  • Improve our store: understand how visitors use our website so we can improve products, content and the shopping experience
  • Protect our business and customers: detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
  • Meet legal obligations: keep tax and accounting records, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our policies

Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify may also process your information to provide its services, including matching your account with other Shopify services you choose to use, as described in Shopify's Privacy Policy.

Marketing Communications

We send promotional emails and text messages only where you've given consent or where the law otherwise allows, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and similar laws.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, replying STOP to any text, or contacting us. Message and data rates may apply to texts. Even after you unsubscribe, we'll still send messages about your orders, returns and account.

Cookies & Tracking

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to run our store, remember your cart and preferences, measure site performance and show you relevant ads on other websites and social media. For details on the cookies that power our Shopify store, see Shopify's Cookie Policy.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, our cookie banner. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our website work. You can also limit personalized ads through your device settings or the ad preference tools of platforms such as Meta and Google.

Where required by law, we honour browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, such as Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, fulfilment and engraving partners, email and SMS platforms, customer support tools, analytics providers and cloud storage. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and marketing partners, such as social media and search platforms, which may receive usage data through cookies and pixels to measure and show ads. They handle that information under their own privacy policies.
  • With your direction or consent, such as when you ask us to ship a gift to someone else or connect a social media account.
  • Business transfers, if our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.
  • Legal reasons, to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, enforce our policies, or protect the rights, property and safety of God's Legion, our customers or others.

Under some U.S. state laws, sharing usage data with advertising partners for targeted ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. Residents of those states can opt out by contacting us or using a Global Privacy Control signal.

Your Faith & Sensitive Information

We know that what you buy from a faith-based brand can say something personal about you. We do not ask about, record or keep profiles of your religious beliefs, and we do not use your purchases to infer or label your faith.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as religious beliefs, health information or government identification, without your consent or where required by law. Please don't send us sensitive information we haven't asked for.

International Transfers

We are based in Canada and sell worldwide. Your information may be stored and processed in Canada, the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from yours, and your information may be accessible to their courts and authorities.

When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security & Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. No system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive details through unsecured channels and keep your account password private. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Order and transaction records are kept for at least six years to meet Canadian tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and learn how we use and share it
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as tax records
  • Port your information, by receiving a copy in a usable format
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including targeted advertising
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting processing already done
  • Appeal a decision we make about your request, by replying to our response

To make a request, email us using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent, but we'll ask for proof that you authorized them. We respond within 30 days or within the time required by your local law, and we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Our Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to other websites and social media platforms that we don't control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies. Anything you post publicly, such as on social media, may be visible to others.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or to legal requirements. We'll post the updated version on our website and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we'll take any additional steps the law requires, such as notifying you or asking for your consent.
